Adopt the Outdoors 10 Mar 2017
The group is looking to continue its Monk Bretton Detached Project, which delivers youth engagement work in Monk Bretton and Lundwood, areas with high deprivation levels and many young people on the verge of involvement with crime and anti-social behavior. Street-based youth workers will help dis-engaged young people by building relationships during evenings and weekends in local outdoor spaces. Support and activities will also be offered to develop life skills and improve access to accredited training.

This project is the delivery of health and recreational activities for young people along with providing the opportunity to become sports leaders with a recognised qualification. This will provide diversionary activities out of school hours, with the aim of reducing antisocial behaviour.

The group will deliver anti-bullying workshops for young people with various disabilities and their families. This will enable young people to be assertive and remove the stigma attached to reporting bullying, and will allow parents to recognise the signs of a bully or being bullied, with the aim of reducing school exclusions and promoting wellbeing.

The group will run weekly sports sessions for girls and women, with the aim of improving health and wellbeing.
The parish council will install outdoor gym equipment on the recreation ground to encourage older people to take more exercise, along with providing them with a place to meet and socialise, resulting in improved health and reducing social isolation.

The school will install outdoor play equipment and surfacing. This will provide a safe and stimulating place to play and will encourage physical activity, with the aim of reducing obesity and improving behaviours.

The aim of the project is to improve the wellbeing of older men in the borough, in particular reducing social isolation and improving their confidence. This will be achieved through the provision of a â€˜Shedâ€™, in this case a woodworking workshop, which provides an informal space which attracts members and enables them to carry out their own projects in the company of other men.
Beating Trax! MTB Club (Inclusive Cycling club) 01 Mar 2017
This project is cycling activities for people with disabilities and their families. This will provide opportunities to access the countryside physical activities, with the aim of reducing obesity and isolation.
The group will recruit and train 30 new listening volunteers, and raise awareness of their support services to children and young people in local schools. This will help meet the demand for the group's services, and provide interventions to promote the understanding of suicide and suicidal behaviours, and the value of expressing negative feelings before they escalate.
