The funding will be used by a primary school to develop a community programme of activities and events to encourage people to be physically active and spend more time outdoors. The programme aims to tackle poor fitness levels and obesity and will help families in the local community maintain good physical and mental health.

The funding will be used to run sports sessions targeting black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) young people aged 16 to 25 years old. Activities will include table tennis, pool, darts, cricket and football. The project aims to increase levels of physical activity, improve health and wellbeing and raise confidence and aspirations amongst those involved.
