Canterbury Advice Service II 14 Feb 2017
This project will support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women to understand and access welfare rights and giving them the opportunity to escape or stay away from abusive relationships. Delivered by an experienced welfare rights advice worker, individuals will receive support on entitlements for benefits, debt management, housing and homelessness, immigration, and financial inclusion. With this project, people will have better living conditions which enable them to live safer independent lives.
Wild Escape Community Project 22 Feb 2017
This project is the development of a community nature area. This will enable the school to provide gardening, forest school and conservation activities.
The group will raise awareness of the need for a substantial increase in the supply of blood and organ donations from BAME communities through local marketing campaigns, the delivery of information sessions and working in close partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant to encourage blood and donor registrations.
The group will continue to run their weekly art group sessions for people recovering from strokes, as well as providing new creative activities.

The funding will be used to run drop-in sessions, support groups and employment support for people experiencing homelessness. The project aims to help people access advice and information relevant to their circumstances, along with helping them to find accommodation and seek paid employment in order to reduce incidents of homelessness and promote wellbeing.

The group will improve their playing field by installing a safety fence which will provide a safe environment for community groups to access.
Boxing Out Of Bullying 22 Mar 2017
This project is the delivery of boxing based activities, with a focus on bullying, for parents and children who have had a negative experience of the issue. This will enable them to gain new skills around discipline, confidence and sportsmanship, along with a greater understanding of behaviours, bullying characteristics and practical anti-bullying strategies.

The group will deliver healthy eating, therapeutic art and exercise workshops for people experiencing poor mental and physical health, to improve wellbeing and reduce isolation and loneliness.
The group will deliver football sessions for people who have a disability, with the aim of reducing isolation and promoting wellbeing.

The school will deliver holiday art workshops and install a play pirate ship and flooring. This will provide structured, positive things to do out of school hours, with the aim of promoting family wellbeing.

The group will hold run a variety of community activities including adult swimming sessions, homework club, sports, alternative therapies and family day trips. This will improve the confidence and attainment of children, and will improve the health and wellbeing of local people and enhance community cohesion.

The group will deliver activities for older members of the community, to include swimming, nutrition sessions and trips out; with the aim of reducing isolation and health inequalities.
Combating Holiday Hunger & Isolation 16 Aug 2017
The group will deliver a series of health based activities, including exercise classes and nutrition, for disadvantaged children from Roma Gypsy and Eastern European backgrounds and their parents and carers during school holidays. This will aim to reduce health inequalities and social isolation.
