Galvanise Programme 22 Feb 2017
The project aims to assist asylum seekers who are given refugee status to secure and sustain tenancies and move from benefits to employment. A range of one to one and group activities and drop in sessions will be offered to enable people to access advice and coaching to develop their personal skills and abilities â€“ enabling them to access employment, training, volunteering or further education opportunities. Each person is individually assessed and given targets to ensure they access the right activities.
Samworth Inclusive Zone Activity Club 11 Jan 2017
The school will run an inclusive zone activity club for children who have special educational needs and children with disabilities. This will enable the children to participate in activities that increase their self-confidence.

A free magazine for young people will be created, offering educational articles on social issues, information on local clubs and volunteering opportunities, shared creativity, fashion and music. This will enable people to have a voice whilst developing new skills and informing others.

BASE PROJECT 09 Feb 2017
The project is based on existing work which provides advice, information and advocacy for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants living in Leicester. The group will support vulnerable and socially excluded communities in response to greater demand for support in critical situations where individuals are facing homelessness and poverty. A befriending service will be introduced to meet the needs of socially isolated individuals and will improve their social interaction.
