Shining Stars ASN Theatre School are reaching for the stars
N.L.W.A. Children and Young Persons Service 28 Nov 2017
This grant will be used to develop a dedicated children and young person’s service supporting children and young people who have experienced the effects of domestic abuse. The project will deliver high quality child centred 1-to-1 sessions, group support and play therapy as well as providing a group work programme around domestic abuse and other identified themes. This will help the children and young people cope with the effects of trauma whilst providing an increased sense of confidence and self-esteem.
Hope for Autism : A bespoke facility 31 May 2017
This funding will help the group explore the idea of re-developing their building or investigate alternative premises to allow them to deliver new programmes and accommodate more people.
Arts + Crafts Project 16 Jun 2017
This club will use the grant to develop their Arts and Crafts project within Airbles Tower in Motherwell for residents and the wider community in Airbles. The group will also take members on two trips to craft fayres.
ALFIA- Strengthening the Core 09 Oct 2017
This group will use the funding for dance / Zumba sessions, holistic therapy sessions and an overnight where members can attend a crafting workshop.
Development and Inclusion Project 24 Jul 2017
This group support people who are affected by Parkinson’s living in Motherwell and the surrounding areas. The grant will fund a range of therapies, trips and activities for members. The grant will also cover volunteering and admin cost for the group.
Newmains Community Trust 10 Nov 2017
This group will use the funding to employ a programme manager and centre manager to expand and enhance the range and delivery of activities run from the centre for the people of Newmains. The funding will also be used for the delivery of a community support programme focussing on the three areas of health and wellbeing; employability, equality and diversity.
Bumblebee Babies 21 Aug 2017
This registered charity provides support to severely disabled and terminally ill children in North Lanarkshire. The project will fund fitting out costs for the groups new hub and safe space including full disability access and a sensory area.
Fun and Games with Our Magic Table 19 Dec 2017
This grant will allow the group to buy a Tovertafel, which is an interactive games unit, specifically designed for dementia suffers, which projects visual games onto a table from a projector. The project will provide social interaction, stimulation and reduce isolation amongst the residents of Thornhill House Care Home in Wishaw.
Our REACH Groups! 29 Sep 2017
This group will use the funding to set up a youth group for 8-11 year olds and a teen group for 12years+ to be delivered from Liberty Road Community Church in Bellshill.
