Singing for Health and Wellbeing 01 Mar 2017
This organisation will use the funding to establish a singing group for people within the local community, specifically those with mental health issues. This will improve the mental health and wellbeing of people living in areas of deprivation through community singing activities.
This project will run courses, workshops and a drop-in-service aimed at vulnerable mothers with toddlers who experience loneliness and isolation, and lack basic food preparation skills. This will enable the organisation to improve the health and wellbeing of the participants.
The Sustainable Food Project 15 Mar 2017
This organisation will use the funding to purchase a range of equipment for their newly acquired community allotment and to deliver food growing skills to local low income families. This will provide people access to healthy, nutritious food and teach them how to eat well on a budget.
Project Invisible 25 Jan 2017
The funding will be used to run workshops, focus groups and an exhibition focussing on invisible disabilities. The projects aims to raise community awareness and understanding of these invisible disabilities in order to reduce negative stereotyping and the isolation of those living with these disabilities.
Futures Project 05 Apr 2017
This project aims to improve the confidence and life skills of young people with special educational needs and disabilities aged 14-25 who are going through the transition into adulthood. The project will train young people aged 18 upwards as volunteers to provide information and support to young people to help them develop their skills, explore their interests and think about future goals. Group activities will provide opportunities to try new things and celebrate individual achievements.
This project will develop the specialist services needed for a community transport service which supports not-for-profit groups in the local community.

This project will give more people, including those who are homeless, access to surplus food services by providing a new delivery route in East Sussex, and training for new volunteers.

This project will deliver a series of English classes and basic computer skills sessions for the local community with the aim or reducing digital isolation and improving English skills.

This project will install fixed play equipment on the school grounds, providing enhanced outdoor learning and play facilities to improve the behaviour and development levels of children, especially those living in areas of deprivation.

This organisation will use the funding to deliver a project providing sewing classes to the wider community, particularly aimed at people who are unemployed or living on low incomes. This will provide people with the skills to repair and maintain their own clothing, explore future training opportunities as well as meeting new people with the aim of reducing social isolation.

This project will expand the group into a community venue, in order to offer improved support, advice and safety for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

The aim is to improve self-esteem, develop literacy skills and raise the attainment levels of children and young people so that they can participate more fully in society and have better life chances. They will learn writing techniques and explore writing in different formats, working alongside professional writers, artists and volunteers.

This organisation will use the funding to develop and diversify their programme of sessions for children and young people with autism and their families. This will improve their social, emotional, health, wellbeing and development.
Brighton & Hove Surplus Food Network 07 Apr 2017
The group will expand its project redistributing food to the community that would otherwise go to landfill. This will benefit people who use food banks and local food projects, including those who are vulnerable or homeless, as well reducing food waste. The funding will enable the group to support people at more sites across the city, raise awareness and recruit more volunteers.
This project is running free rickshaw cycle rides for older people and care home residents, enabling them to regain social connections in familiar environments and improve their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Booky Photo Booth 11 Oct 2017
This project will install a temporary photo booth at a local library which will be unveiled on World Book Night to encourage residents to bring in their current book and be photographed, and deliver a series of book themed events to bring the local diverse community together and build a picture of the City’s reading habits.
