Eastham Community Hub 30 Mar 2017
This funding will improve the Eastham Memorial Hall which is no longer able to meet the needs of the local community. The new facility will provide a modern meeting place which is fit for purpose, where people can socialise and host events and activities. Current activities, including parent and toddler groups, reading groups, coffee mornings and fitness classes will continue alongside plans for new events. The project aims to improve peopleâ€™s health and wellbeing by reducing social isolation.
CoB Mentoring and Development 15 Feb 2017
This group will use the funding to provide weekly mentoring support sessions and workshops for disengaged young people living in deprivation. Participants will be offered support, skills and training to engage them into community life.
Keeping Well with Sickle Cell Project 01 Feb 2017
A series of healthy workshops will be provided with this funding. The workshops will include training courses, nutrition learning and exercise techniques for people living with the effects of sickle cell and thalassaemia disorder. This will develop a better approach to improve the quality of health and wellbeing for participants.
Living Well 22 Mar 2017
The funding will be used to deliver performing arts and mentoring activities for older people with mental health problems. This will use the arts as a vehicle to enable older people to engage with and access positive social activities, improving their self-esteem and mental wellbeing.
SCOUT HQ EXTERNAL LANDSCAPING PROJECT 08 Feb 2017
The funding will be used by this charity to landscape part of the grounds at their headquarters which serves Scouts and other community groups. This will improve the facility, making it safer and allowing it to be used by more people.

This group will use the funding to run a series of trips for older people, where they will be able to take part in social activities which benefit their health and wellbeing.
Vintage Volunteering - Improving with Age 25 Jan 2017
The project will engage older people aged 60 and over in flexible volunteering opportunities, while challenging negative perceptions of ageing. The project will encourage participation in life and society to address loneliness and isolation, which can leave older people at risk of depression, physical illness, and disengaged from their communities. The group will recruit a total of 40 â€˜Volunteer Championsâ€™ who are already active within their community, to help promote the project.
From ground to plate 08 Feb 2017
This school will use the funding to create an allotment site and reflection garden, run gardening workshops and provide healthy eating sessions for parents and children. Their knowledge of food and nutrition will be improved, leading to better physical health and wellbeing.

This group will use the funding to provide IT and internet skills training for vulnerable parents. Participantsâ€™ technology skills will be improved, making them more confident in using computers to seek employment and access local services.

A community room in the school will be re-developed with this funding. This will provide pupils and members of the community with additional space for extracurricular activities.

This group will use the funding to deliver a pilot programme of entrepreneurship training activities. These will focus on supporting black, Asian and minority ethnic women who are experiencing the effects of social disadvantage. This will create pathways to employment and equip them with new skills.

This project will stage arts and music sessions for local people. This will enable the organisation to engage local people in activities which encourage bringing the community together.

This group will use the funding to provide creative play activities for families, including arts and crafts, cooking, a bouncy castle and interactive games. This will encourage beneficiaries to engage in creative social activities and help create a stronger and more connected community.
