Canterbury Advice Service II 14 Feb 2017
This project will support Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic women to understand and access welfare rights and giving them the opportunity to escape or stay away from abusive relationships. Delivered by an experienced welfare rights advice worker, individuals will receive support on entitlements for benefits, debt management, housing and homelessness, immigration, and financial inclusion. With this project, people will have better living conditions which enable them to live safer independent lives.
Leeds Poverty Truth Commission 10 Mar 2017
The group aims to change the culture of how Leeds responds to poverty in the city by better understanding the root causes and effects of poverty. The project will actively engage people with direct experience of poverty to take a lead in decision-making, helping to develop and shape strategies aimed at poverty reduction. They will meet on a regular basis and create a space for people to tell their stories, providing opportunities for those making and influencing decisions to engage more with one another.
Alcohol Recovery Community (ARC) 27 Jan 2017
The project aims to offer hope, choice and opportunity for people who are recovering from problematic drinking. It will support people who have started or stopped drinking to make individual changes to their drinking habits and are seeking to make long term changes to their health and wellbeing. Funding will be used to introduce new support methods such as coaching, telephone peer support and city-wide events.
Safe and Well 11 Jan 2017
This project is the delivery of after school and holiday activities for young people with a focus on health and wellbeing. This will enable beneficiaries to gain a greater understanding of their lifestyle choices, to include the impact of smoking and the benefits of regular exercise, with the aim of reducing health inequalities and promoting wellbeing across the community.

This project is a volunteer training scheme for retired emergency service officers which will enable them to obtain a volunteer card qualification and take on a volunteering role with a local group.
Ordinary Lives 24 Feb 2017
The project is a parent-led organisation offering support, guidance and a range of services to families with disabled children and young people. Practical, hands on support will be delivered through group structured and 1:1 peer support, self-advocacy skills workshops and skills on a 1:1 basis and helping parent carers to find and implement the right strategies to solve issues (e.g. sleep deprivation). By doing this, carers will feel more included, understood and connected to others in similar situations.

This project is the delivery of a series of single sex activities, including football, dance and crafts, for male and female refugees and asylum seekers. This will provide positive, structured and culturally sensitive things to do, whilst gaining advice and signposting to relevant external agencies, with the aim of promoting community cohesion and integration.

This projection is the installation of a flat roof at the community hall. This will provide a dry and warm venue for events and activities and enable the building to remain open, with the aim of reducing social isolation.
Owston Park Primary â€œCan Achieve Projectâ€ 25 Jan 2017
The school will provide breakfast, lunchtime and afterschool clubs which will include a variety of physical activities. This will enable children to access activities aimed at improving health as well as developing skills.
The school will deliver lunchtime and after school healthy eating and fitness sessions. This will encourage participation in physical exercise, with the aim of reducing childhood obesity and promoting wellbeing.
The funding will be used to run dance and movement workshops for people of all ages with varying disabilities, ending in a community performance that will be recorded on DVD. The project aims to provide people with the opportunity to participate in Hull City of Culture 2017 activities, in order to reduce social isolation and promote wellbeing.

This project will develop an outdoor space into a mud kitchen and play area for children visiting loved ones in prison. This will enable residents to access play activities with their children which will give them some resemblance of normality and help improve relationships.

Rotherham Abuse Counselling Service (RACS) 27 Jan 2017
The group will provide high quality counselling services to those traumatised by sexual/domestic abuse/violence and childhood sexual exploitation. Support is available for women, men and young people living or working in Rotherham. As well as various types of counselling, the project will develop their outreach service by working with local agencies and provide group counselling sessions, giving individuals the choice to attend sessions they best engage with.
Reaching Out 15 Mar 2017
The group will deliver a variety of holiday activities for children and young people. This will provide diversionary activities out of school hours, with the aim of reducing antisocial behaviour.
