Magdalene summer holiday provison 23 May 2017
This funding will be used by the centre to deliver activities for young people and families including day trips, a summer holiday club and a 3 day residential weekend.
This walking group encouraging healthy exercise among the elderly, particularly the social isolated and those with mobility issues. The grant will fund an outing to Ayr and also costs for the groups Christmas party.
At home in the woods Forest School 26 Feb 2018
This charity based in Kirkcudbright aim to conserve local woodlands and reconnect people to local biodiversity through woodland management and crafts. The project will establish a new Forest School which will primarily aim to reduce social isolation and increase awareness of the natural environment amongst children in the local area.
Kilmory Haven Bunkhouse Regeneration 26 Feb 2018
This organisation, based on Isle of Arran, will improve their bunkhouse inside the village hall. The facilities are open to visitors and the community.
Volunteer Buchan - Training for the Future 26 Feb 2018
This organisation provides activities and supports other community group activities in the Buchan area. This project will support the work of Volunteer Buchan, a partnership of local third sector groups of which the Buchan Development Partnership is the lead. This project will provide a range of training courses to community volunteers across the area.
Buzz - Indoor and Outdoor Play Project 08 Nov 2017
This project will be used to maintain and develop the group’s weekly indoor/outdoor play sessions for children aged between four and 11.
Growing Auchmuty 14 Dec 2017
This funding will be used to develop green spaces in Auchmuty. The group will use gardening and growing as a vehicle for volunteering, developing skills and bringing the community together. The activity will have a strong intergenerational focus where older people can share their experience with young people. It will benefit 450 in the Auchmuty area by reducing isolation among older people, and increasing the skills and employability of children and young people.
Steps to Recovery 31 Jan 2018
The group will run a programme of health and wellbeing activities for people who are suffering, or recovering from, alcohol misuse. They will also be able to put together a volunteering programme for people who would like to give back to the project or who are interested in the field. A pathway to recovery will be created to help people make positive lifestyle choices and access training, learning and volunteering opportunities.
Centenary Celebration Diner 04 Dec 2017
This group, based in Midlothian, will host a dinner to celebrate their 100th anniversary. It will bring together old and current members and the group will stage an exhibition of the history of both the village of Cousland and the organisation itself.
