Williton RBL WW1 Commemoration Events
Fete and Entertainment 25 May 2005
The Royal British Legion Minchinhampton Branch have been awarded a grant that will allow them to carry out a 60th anniversary community event, where veterans will be present to talk to children and a display of wartime memorabilia will be present. The group will also host a 1940's style event for the veterans with entertainment from the era. A booklet will also be produced about the local community during the war and the impact of rationing, etc.
Celebrating and Remembering the 2WW 25 May 2005
The Royal British Legion Tisbury Branch have been award a grant that will allow them to carry out a number of events in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. The group will host a war time concert, a 1940's style street party, a WW2 exhibition and the veterans will also undertake a trip to the National memorial Arboretum. Finally the group the will produce a book of memories obtained by those who lived through the war.

The 80th anniversary of this Branch will be celebrated with a parade, church service and tea for members and invited guests from other RBL Branches.

This charity will host volunteer recruitment and publicity events across Gloucestershire. Activities will include displaying stands and delivering presentations in a variety of public buildings.
This Royal British Legion branch in Devon will host a celebratory event open to the local community commemorating the 80th anniversary of its formation.

This charity will use funding to hold a publicity drive to recruit and train new volunteers. The project will encourage more people to volunteer and will enable the charity to extend its service throughout Devon. The grant will contribute towards events costs, display stands, projector hire, publicity and training.
This group based in Calne, Wiltshire, will train young people in drumming. Funding will enable them to provide musical instruments allowing members to take part in community events and develop their musical ability.
Visit to the British war graves in Belgium 20 Feb 2007
The award will contribute towards the cost of travel as part of a trip to the First World War graves in Belgium for members who have close relatives buried there.
The Royal British legion Banwell Branch has been awarded a grant to enable them to carry out a day trip to London as part of their celebration and commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. The project will encompass a day trip to London to visit the Imperial War Museum for 40 veterans, which will also include lunch and dinner.

CSV Environment (Bristol) will promote and develop the community gardens and establish a volunteer community management group to sustain it for the benefit of all local residents.
The group will promote their work during the 2006 Poppy campaign by visiting market squares on market days across the county with a view on recruiting more volunteer to act as caseworkers.
