Volunteering Matters will use the grant to support younger people with disabilities in Blaenau Gwent by providing them with skills and empowering them during the transition from education to further education, employment or training. A church hall which is no longer fit for purpose will be refurbished, creating a facility to meet diverse needs of the local community. This new and improved venue will allow the community to participate in a range of events and activities, helping to combat social isolation and improve relations amongst local residents. Opportunities will also be provided to access information and support in relation to health, wellbeing and life skills.
