Development of deaf project 15 Mar 2005
The project is to develop an existing medium grant whereby deaf people will be supported in a variety of ways including creation of forums, joint planning of service provision, disabled awareness training and a variety of other areas. The grant over three years will contribute towards the salary of a full time Project Co-ordinator, part time Administration Support, as well as paying towards running costs and some small capital items.

A project to commemorate the end of WW2 with the provision of a series of events veterans and youth organisations based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Outreach Support 15 Jul 2004
This is an innovative project working for people with sensory and/or physical disabilities, on an outreach basis in rural Devon, enabling people to gain confidence in working together to improve and inform local service provision and access, in ways that will positively make a difference to their lives e.g. health, social services, local leisure venues, shops, education, employment, transport, etc.
This capacity building project over two years, will provide group advocacy for people using British Sign Language with the aim of providing information, involving them in local service planning and development, give them the opportunity to deal with specific issues, and develop their skills and confidence. The grant will meet the salary costs of two workers as well as training costs for staff and volunteers, travel and running costs as well as the purchase of office equipment.

The 80th anniversary of this Branch will be celebrated with a parade, church service and tea for members and invited guests from other RBL Branches.

LOD will lead a pilot project to set up a Devon Disability Forum for voluntary sector organisations working with people with physical and/or sensory disabilities.
The Royal British legion Banwell Branch has been awarded a grant to enable them to carry out a day trip to London as part of their celebration and commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. The project will encompass a day trip to London to visit the Imperial War Museum for 40 veterans, which will also include lunch and dinner.

The Royal British Legion Women's Section Yatton Branch have been awarded a grant to allow them to undertake a 60th anniversary celebratory meal. The group will also undertake visits to the Dunkirk Memorial Home and local Royal British Legion residential home.

Martock Royal British Legion Branch have been awarded a grant to help commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. They will have a day of events aimed at remembering the war with entertainment from the era and refreshments.
