Development of deaf project 15 Mar 2005

The project is to develop an existing medium grant whereby deaf people will be supported in a variety of ways including creation of forums, joint planning of service provision, disabled awareness training and a variety of other areas. Project for Deaf People who use British sign language 15 Jul 2004

This capacity building project over two years, will provide group advocacy for people using British Sign Language with the aim of providing information, involving them in local service planning and development, give them the opportunity to deal with specific issues, and develop their skills and confidence. The grant will meet the salary costs of two workers as well as training costs for staff and volunteers, travel and running costs as well as the purchase of office equipment.

Day Trip To the Imperial War Museum for 40 Ex-service Veterans 12 Aug 2005

The Royal British legion Banwell Branch has been awarded a grant to enable them to carry out a day trip to London as part of their celebration and commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. The project will encompass a day trip to London to visit the Imperial War Museum for 40 veterans, which will also include lunch and dinner.
