Somerset - Their Past Your Future: 60th Anniversary Commemoration Remembran 19 Jan 2005

King Alfred's School - Upgrade of Floodlit Synthetic Turf Pitch 15 Nov 2004

Somerset County Council will modernise and upgrade the floodlit synthetic turf pitch (100m x 61m) at King Alfred's School Specialist Sports College. The upgraded pitch will enable uninterrupted curriculum time use and quality after school sessions, and will be a focal point in the community for competitive and recreational sport. Beneficiaries will include 1400 pupils from the school, 600 pupils from other schools and 500 wider community visits. Activities will include football, hockey and cricket.
