The Legacy of the 1914-18 War
The Legion's hall is used for a variety of clubs and individuals. As part of an ongoing refurbishment project they will extend and develop the front hall to include disabled toilets and baby-changing facilities.
Media and communications workshops 17 Feb 2005
CSV Media is the arm of CSV which seeks to use media to empower and inform people to give different communities a voice. The project 'FIRST' will work with people who are disadvantaged in the labour market and have low levels of IT skills. It will run a series of workshops around the Ipswich area on the subject of interactive storytelling enabling people to share experiences and gain understanding.
60th Anniversary Commemoration Service 26 May 2005
The Barnack & District Branch of The Royal British Legion will use a grant to organise a remembrance service aimed at commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2. This will involve a broad range of local groups and will be followed by a buffet and refreshments.
Victory Dinner and Booklet Production 15 Jul 2005
The Royal British Legion Chantry Branch will use an award to produce a booklet recording war-time stories, visit schools and interested groups to discuss their stories. Further funds will be used to hold a Victory Dinner for its members.

The Suffolk County of the Royal British Legion will use their award to hold a large event commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Second World War entitled "Thanks for our future". This event will include displays of schoolwork, museum exhibitions, flypasts and a commemorative service.

The Ipswich Branch of the Royal British Legion have been awarded a grant to hold a commemorative event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. A service and parade will be held which will be followed by a reception with a wartime film and memorabilia exhibition on display.
Royal British Legion Soham Branch have been awarded a grant to enable them to carry two events as part of their celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The project will be comprises of two parts the first being a trip to the Horse guards Parade and Buckingham Palace and the second being a social evening for the members and the other local veterans.
Royal British Legion Royston Branch have been awarded a grant to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. They will have a concert and VJ Party for children with entertainment from the era and refreshments.

Barrington and District Royal British Legion have been awarded a grant to help commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. They will have a Street Party and exhibition in Barrington Village with displays and traditional refreshments.

This branch of the Royal British Legion will use the award to enable their members to visit Ypres and pay their respects at the Menin Gate of remembrance.
Sudbury at War - a living memorial 24 Nov 2006
Sudbury Royal British legion will use the award to create a permanent display in the town's new heritage centre, in memory of those who fought during the two World Wars. This will include people from the local town, and from overseas forces who were based in the area during the wars.
