The project will encompass a day trip to London to visit the Imperial War Museum for 40 veterans, which will also include lunch and dinner.

The Royal British Legion Minchinhampton Branch have been awarded a grant that will allow them to carry out a 60th anniversary community event, where veterans will be present to talk to children and a display of wartime memorabilia will be present. The group will also host a 1940's style event for the veterans with entertainment from the era. A booklet will also be produced about the local community during the war and the impact of rationing, etc.
