Men@Eccy Drop-in and Befriending Service 27 Jun 2018
The group will host drop in support sessions, providing older men with positive activities and friendship at the group’s venue, at home or over the telephone. This will provide local men, including those with mobility issues, with the opportunity to discuss matters pertaining to them with their peers, with the aim of reducing isolation and loneliness.
Re-Connecting Seniors 27 Jun 2018
The group will deliver social activities for older people in the locality, so they can get out of their homes and meet new people whilst gaining information and support with regards to issues pertaining to them. This will reduce loneliness and isolation.
Family Centre Development 01 Aug 2018
The group will deliver a support service for vulnerable families in the area, to include play sessions for children and signposting activities, with the aim of reducing isolation and promoting wellbeing.
The St Columba Project 27 Jun 2018
The group will conduct a feasibility study and business planning, with regards to acquired premises, to ascertain the needs and priorities of local people.
Community One 30 May 2018
The funding will be used to deliver health, fitness and body management sessions for young people from different cultural backgrounds. The project aims to improve community cohesion, and engage the young people in positive activities and lifestyle choices, aid their transition to adulthood and improve their volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
Healthy Body, Healthy Mind 30 May 2018
The group will provide a range of activities for young people including tennis, cooking and tutoring. This will provide opportunities for young people to develop their problem solving skills, team work and increase their confidence.
