The funding will be used to run twice weekly computer training sessions primarily for newly arrived Syrian families in Gateshead. This will develop their ICT skills, provide them with a support network and signposting to service providers, help reduce isolation, aid integration and improve training and employment opportunities.

The funding will be used to deliver a wide range of fun, physical, fitness and healthy cooking activities for families in Sunderland during the holiday periods. The aim is to encourage healthy lifestyles and help reduce levels of obesity.

The funding will be used by adults with learning disabilities to create and promote a series of accessible videos for their peers, highlighting a range of safety and privacy issues and promote personal safety. The videos will be shared at screenings, online and with user forums and groups.

The group use rescued food produce to make chutney and jam, providing the local community with a ‘Pay as you Feel’ market and a weekly lunch club. They also provide education to local schools and care homes.

The funding will be used to run a range of activities for young people. The project aims to help young people in the local community to keep fit and healthy, discover their own talents, give them purpose and reduce their risk of becoming involved in antisocial and criminal behaviour.
