A4A - Middleton Minstrels Community Choir 17 Jun 2015

The organisation will use the funding to establish a choir for women who are single parents, older, isolated or otherwise vulnerable with social opportunities and singing tuition. This will enable the group to provide a social and creative activity to women at risk of ill health and poor wellbeing due to isolation, improving confidence, social opportunities and community engagement.

Activities include a hot meal in a ‘family’ environment, gardening, cinema visits, attending the nail bar and cooking. This project will also work with members of the local community to improve community relationships, develop their understanding of the issues of street sex workers in their area and provide volunteering opportunities.
