The organisation will use funding to install outdoor toilets at their recreation ground. This will enable more individuals and community organisations to use the recreation ground at weekends and bank holidays, when the centre is closed, with the aim of encouraging further use of the facility.
This project is the creation of an outdoor play facility. This will encourage creative play experiences for children and the opportunity to increase social skills.
Supporting Women from the Afghan Community 09 Dec 2015
The group will use the funding to deliver English literacy and conversational workshops for Afghan women in the community. This will enable beneficiaries to learn to communicate successfully in their host country, with the aim of reducing isolation and raising self esteem.
The group will use the funding to offer a range of basic qualifications and skills workshops aimed at those who are unemployed or in need of personal development. This will improve confidence and self-esteem, whilst improving prospects for beneficiaries.
The organisation will use the funding to provide training and work experience for young people in the community. This will enable the organisation to run positive diversionary activities to address issues of anti-social behaviour and petty crime whilst raising the aspirations of young people, improve their transferable workplace skills and increase their employability.
The funding will be used to run a free welfare rights and debt advice drop-in service. The project aims to provide people with advice and information, including help with benefit forms, avoidance of doorstep lenders and housing advice, in order to promote wellbeing and reduce isolation.

The school will use the funding to deliver a series of new afterschool and holiday activities for young people and their families. This will provide free activities for the local community in an area with high levels of deprivation to reduce boredom and isolation, and enable families who are recent arrivals to the UK to meet new people, gain confidence, and learn new skills to help them into further training or employment.
The organisation will use the funding to host a summer festival for the whole community on the local recreation ground. This will provide villagers with the opportunity to get out and socialise, whilst gaining information regarding the local services that are available, with the aim of reducing isolation.
