Mid-Orford residents association, provide weekly Bingo sessions, to older isolated people in the Orford area.The project is to provide more tables for their bingo evenings, as they didn't have enough to cater for everyone wishing to attend due to more members joining. The grant makes a contribution towards the tables.
Polo shirts 14 Jun 2017
Pegasus Riding for the Disabled (RDA) is a member of the National RDA, run by volunteers, providing opportunities for anyone with a disability to enjoy safe, healthy, stimulating, horse-riding activities. The project is to provide polo-shirts for the group so that all riders and volunteers feel part of the team and which enable the group to compete in local and national RDA events. The grant will be used to pay for polo-shirts for volunteers and riders.
Neston Carers Support Group 25 May 2018
Cheshire and Warrington Carers Trust is a charity supporting unpaid carers Cheshire wide. The project will establish a group in Neston. The group will meet once a month and the focus of the group will be to support carers to meet in a safe, non judgemental environment focusing on positives with emphasis towards listening and self support rather than counselling. Grant funding will be used to pay for running costs. The support group will help carers take some time for themselves and value their own health and well being and help prevent carer breakdown.
Renovation of the Village Hall 22 Jan 2016
Chelford Village Hall operates the village hall for the inhabitants of Chelford. The hall is used by many different groups, societies and clubs including the amateur dramatics group, the local church, Chelford Badminton Club and Chelford Tuesday Bridge Club - increasing a sense of community and helping a wide variety of people. Grant funding supported the renovation of village hall, improving facilities for many groups.
