The proposal involves the transfer of Llandeilo Shire Hall to create a new integrated community facility. The building will be developed to provide a heritage/tourist information centre, meeting and training rooms for hire and a business / innovation hub that will provide office space for local businesses and a focus for welsh language resources.
Project Summary : Tumble and Trimsaran Family Centres will work in partnership to deliver a project for families with children under ten years old who are experiencing adverse effects of living in poverty. A programme of activities will be developed which will firstly aim to build soft skills, giving parents the tools to cope with daily struggles, followed by a programme of opportunities to upskill parents. What Money is for : The grant, over three years, will fund staff costs and overheads.
Carway Hall Improvements and Trips Away 22 Jun 2017
Carway and District Welfare Association in Carmarthenshire will use the grant to provide kitchen and cleaning equipment, additional activity resources and trips for the community. This grant for £3,450 will fund a dishwasher, microwave, floor steamer, bingo machine, bouncy castle mats, website, transport and refreshments.
Community Education Hub 27 Sep 2017
The project is to modernise and extend the existing community education hub in Llandovery to provide a better standard of learning for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. This will include ensuring it is energy efficient, enhance IT facilities, bring together workshop spaces, provide a student forum space, improve general facilities and provide space for professional development activities. The grant of will be used to cover costs of professional fees and surveys.
