Youth diversionary project delivering fire safety information / advice. Three stations within the area: Calton, Parkhead and Easterhouse, deliver 2 durations of Fire Reach courses: Junior Fire Reach - a 3 hour course, designed for primary age pupils.
SE Safe Programme - Home Safety 06 Jun 2018
All 4 strands of the programme raise awareness on matters of fire, home and road safety as well as other issues such as fire related anti-social behaviour.
This group from East Kilbride promotes and represents the views of local people. Grant will enable the group to organise a week of events and activities including a concert, exhibitions and art and craft workshops. The grant will fund art and craft materials, concert production, hire of venues, publicity and insurance.
This group from East Kilbride promotes the welfare of older people, in particular the service users of the Red Deer Centre. The grant will mean that the group can combat isolation amongst older and disabled people through a programme of outings, as well as providing exercise and relaxation classes for mental and social stimulation. The grant will fund costs of outings, transport, entertainment, armchair exercise classes and relaxation materials.

A Second World War Veteran from Lanarkshire has been awarded a grant towards travel costs for a commemorative visit to France in June of this year._x000B__x000B_Funding has also been provided for a spouse to travel with the Veteran._x000B_
This new group provide an after school service for children aged 4-14 years.
This group from East Kilbride is a theatre company which aims to raise awareness of mental health issues and give a voice to people who have been touched by mental ill health. The grant will allow the group to create a website and develop a strategic vision/3 year operational business plan, providing them with a stronger foundation and ability to provide a better service for more people. The grant will be used to fund website set-up costs and a business plan.
This group from East Kilbride provides cultural activities to make rural life more attractive to young people. The grant would enable the group to hold an event to celebrate their 60th anniversary. The grant will be used to hire a marquee and toilets, entertainment and refreshments.
