Age Friendly Circle of Support 23 Mar 2018
This group will use the funding to sustain their activities and secure their 'Circle of Support' for older people in the communities of Hemsdale, Brora and Golspie. This includes operating the Helmsdale Hub for three days per week for those aged 55 or over who are perhaps lonely, frail, or are experiencing mild cognitive impairment including signs of possible early on-set dementia. This range of socailly inclusive work will help to combat loneliness and isolation in a remote, rural community.
Friends of Merkinch Local Nature Reserve 21 Mar 2018
This group will use the funding to develop and train volunteers from the community to take on responsibility for the local reserve and encourage others in the area to use the reserve for a variety of activities. The planned activities over three years includes watching and recording wildlife, learning about biodiversity, and socialising at informal community gatherings. The activity aims to improve accessibility to the reserve and increase the number of people spending time there.
West Ardnamurchan Community Minibus 15 Sep 2017
This group will purchase a minibus in order to operate a community transport scheme. Although based in Kilchoan, the project will benefit the rural communities of Ardnamurchan.

This group will run their fun weekend in Melness for the sixth year in a row. The funding will allow them to buy some of the items they would usually hire in order to make the event more sustainable in the long term.
Moray Expansion Project 31 May 2017
After 27 years in Highland, SSF intends to bring the programme to neighbouring Moray. Feedback has always suggested the programme should be available across Scotland and this is the intention.
