Breaking New Ground – Short Breaks & Respitality 25 Jun 2017
This group will expand on an existing pilot ('Wee Breaks Midlothian'), providing short breaks and other respite opportunities to carers in Edinburgh and the Lothians. It will establish a 'Short Breaks and Respitality Hub', which will be an online resource accessible to carers, professionals and projects supporting carers in the Lothians. It will work with around 3,000 people over five years.
This group, based in Glasgow, will provide computer training opportunities for people to help improve confidence and increase skills.
Creative Express 08 Nov 2017
This group will deliver a 40 week programme of creative arts sessions for young people. This will support health and wellbeing by creating a safe space where small groups of young people can express their thoughts and feelings through the use of various mediums.
Cumnock Christmas Festival 2017 08 Nov 2017
This charity will work in partnership with local organisations to build on the success of Cumnock Christmas Festival 2016 by delivering a community family event in Cumnock town centre on 24th November 2017.
The Open Arms Project 14 Dec 2017
This group will use its three year grant to deliver their 'Open Arms' project. The project will provide outreach to engage with 950 vulnerable minority ethnic women in Edinburgh who are experiencing isolation and face multiple barriers to full participation in social and civic life. This will help the women involved to address mental health issues and also develop confidence, skills and friendships, building their independence.
This project will engage bereaved parents/grandparents from across Scotland in a series of workshops exploring social isolation resulting from child death. Through theatre and storytelling they will use their experiences to produce a play which will then be performed at the International Conference on Stillbirth, SIDS and Baby Survival.
Local Involvement Networks (LINs) 27 Sep 2017
This group will set up Local Involvement Networks (LIN's) to challenge discrimination by empowering people with additional support needs. The funding will enable the organisation to employ a project manager and two project workers to co-ordinate and support the creation of the LIN's to improve decision making, better support services and provide more inclusive communities for those with additional needs. The project will support people from Dundee and all the three Ayrshire LA areas.

This group will use the funding for their community led facility in Falkirk High Street. They will recruit a full time community officer and part time volunteer/training coordinator to work on a series of projects that will provide a range of volunteering and employment opportunities in the Falkirk area.
Time for Change (Happiness is Homemade) 20 Sep 2017
This group will support vulnerable and at risk young women, aged between 15–24 . The project will work to improve the young womens' ability to cope with life and work towards a better future . Activities will include dedicated 1:1 support, 24hr telephone support, mediation, advocacy, practical role modelling, and social activities including topic based groupwork.
Westerhaven Cancer Support Service 23 May 2017
This funding will be used to continue the groups support project for people with a diagnosis of cancer or other life limiting illness, and their families. The project provides practical, emotional and social support, complementary therapies and a befriending service. Those with a diagnosis, undergoing treatment, in recovery, or receiving palliative care will have access to 8 or 16 specialist counselling sessions.
This charity will deliver antenatal sessions for expectant parents of multiple births across Scotland. This advice will be provided by a qualified midwife.
Person to Person (P2P) 17 May 2017
This project will create opportunities for autistic people to make friends and socialise. NAS will use the funding to support 250 adults over the age of 26 who are on the autistic spectrum, they will also recruit 50 volunteers. The project will be delivered via a combination of face to face mentoring, e-befriending, telephone support and regular coffee clubs. Another element and long term goal is to see the autistic adults take ownership of more elements of the project.
Magdalene summer holiday provison 23 May 2017
This funding will be used by the centre to deliver activities for young people and families including day trips, a summer holiday club and a 3 day residential weekend.
This group will use the funding to sustain their befriending programme for people from the Uist community, who are over the age of fifty. Sixty people will be involved in a programme of activities, with fifty people volunteering.
