This project will provide play sessions for children with disabilities and special needs, enabling them to take part in activities which benefit their development and social skills.
GLYPT Outreach & Community Programme 10 Jan 2018
The project aims to develop the centre as a community hub and work in various locations around the area promoting inclusion and engagement. Workshops and events will run to improve the wellbeing of their users and create quality time between the parents/carers and children. This will also target issues such as poverty, low aspirations, unemployment, lack of community activities which can all lead to poor physical and mental well-being.
La Briut Continuation 21 Mar 2018
This project aims to improve confidence, health and wellbeing and relationships and reduce isolation amongst disadvantaged and vulnerable members of the community in the Stamford Hill and wider Hackney and Haringey areas of North London. It seeks to help people to live fulfilling lives, maintain independence and reduce feelings of isolation. Support will be available at the group’s community-led centre in Stamford Hill, as well as hospitals, GP surgeries, local parks, libraries, shops and home visits.
This charity will use the funding to transform people's lives through food across the UK. With 270,000 tonnes of edible food being destroyed every year, FareShare delivered good surplus food to almost 7,000 charities and community groups in 2017. This funding will enable the charity to expand its work across its regional centres, saving more edible food in order to distribute to more charities and community groups. The food will be used to bring people together, build relationships and reduce loneliness.
Drama Celebrations! 25 Years! 28 Feb 2018
This project will run weekly drama workshops for young people culminating in a show for the local community. The young people will create and perform in the show and through this will develop relationships with others in their community, building confidence and inter-personal skills. The final production will be a celebration event helping to bring together a diverse community.
LEYTONSTONE FESTIVAL (2018) 26 Mar 2018
The annual Leytonstone Festival, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018, will deliver a programme of community-led events with a focus on the arts. The Festival provides the opportunity for community groups and local performers to share their work with the community.
Vulnerable Womens Group 07 Feb 2018
This project will run therapy sessions for refugees, enabling them to seek support regarding issues including domestic violence, which have an impact on their mental health.
The project aims to encourage intergenerational activities and will offer young people the chance to mix with positive role models. The older generation will also learn skills and gain an understanding of young people. Workshops such as use of social media, emailing, music sharing, and lived experiences will take place. This will provide a platform for different generations to share their stories, skills and knowledge - enabling participants to gain an understanding of all members of the community.
Psychotherapy for All 21 Mar 2018
This project will provide tailored support for people with mental health issues in South London, including people who hear voices, experience paranoia as well as those with unusual and distressing beliefs. Support will be provided through a combination of specialist individual therapy in addition to the group therapy.
Wheelchair Skills Workshops - England 14 Mar 2018
The funding will be used to run wheelchair skills workshops to teach children and young people how to use their wheelchairs. The project aims to develop key mobility skills to improve confidence and support children to lead full and active lives.
This project will run computer sessions for older refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. This will enable people to come together through inclusive activities.

The project will provide a toy library and stay and play group to support the development of children and families. This will help reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.
