The group will use the funding to run a project for vulnerable young people and adults to learn social and communication skills along with creative skills in art, in various forms. This will rebuild the beneficiaries' confidence and provide them with the necessary skills to improve their chances of accessing further education.

People First Merseyside Company Ltd is receiving Â£274,188 for a new project which aims to help young adults with learning disabilities have a 'mainstream' life by offering training, developing self-awareness, confidence, skills and knowledge. The project will allow them to do some everyday activities unassisted such as going out and meeting young people. It will work with people aged 16 to 25, initially in Liverpool but will expand to include Sefton.

The Eden Team and the PCSOs would like to work jointly to reengage a group of 14-17 year olds who do not currently access any youth services that are appropriate for them. Some of these young people are often associated with anti-social behaviour in the community and some are seen to be at risk of criminal exploitation. We want to provide an opportunity for youth workers and PCSOs to build and strengthen positive relationships with these young people, and give the young people an opportunity to re-engage with services through positive experiences with them
