The group will use the funding to provide excursions locally for people living with the effects of ill mental health, as well as in-house events weekly. This will improve beneficiariesâ€™ health and wellbeing by providing them with opportunities to socialise and strengthen community relationships by keeping social channels alive.
Celebrating & Launching Cobbett Hub & Library. 01 Sep 2016
The organisation will use the funding to celebrate the successful transfer of Cobbett Road Library from Southampton City Council to not for profit organisations, saving it from closure. The group wants to encourage the local community to celebrate the Libraryâ€™s new name, and to encourage and support local residents to use their new community space in an inclusive and positive way, sharing their cultures and diversity through food, chat and workshops.
Staplegrove Living History 29 Sep 2016
This project will use the funding to hold an event in the village hall combining archived historical material with photographs from residents. This will enable the organisation to involve local residents in better appreciating the history of Staplegrove and allow residents to share their stories about their lives in and around Staplegrove.
Christmas Dinner 2016 13 Sep 2016
Begelly Golden Age Club in Saundersfoot will use the grant to provide an end of year celebratory event to combat the social isolation of members. This grant for Â£900 will fund transport and meals for up to 50 members.

The group, which is based at the City of Derry Golf Club, delivers a series of event and activities which uses golf to target and address various social issues. The Â£800 grant is being used to create a website for the group.
Sports equipment improvement 14 Dec 2016
This project will provide additional fitness equipment for their sports club for older people. This will allow more people to participate in the fitness sessions which improve health and wellbeing and reduce isolation.
Secure Storage 19 Oct 2016
This project will use the funding to build secure storage for their tools and equipment. This will enable the organisation to protect their equipment and continue to provide activities for young people in their community.
Thursday Afternoon Crochet Class 02 Feb 2017
Thursday Afternoon Crochet Class in Swansea will use the grant to provide their members, who are older ladies at risk of social isolation, with trips to various woollen fairs. This grant for Â£835 will fund travel and entrance fees.
The group will use the funding to purchase a P.A. system and projector for speakers to use on coach trips, talks and social events for older people with hearing and vision difficulties. This will increase the quality of their presentations and increase participation for more people.

This charity will use the funding to develop professional drawings with plans for the community hall and then present them to the community. This will enable the organisation to effectively present the plans of the new features for the hall to improve its use.
