The organisation will use the funding to create tourist leaflets and purchase event gazebos, as well as recruit, train and support volunteers to run information stalls at local events. This will enable volunteers to provide signposting to local voluntary and community groups, businesses, services, activities and tourist attractions within the village, including residents at risk of social isolation and visitors to the area.

The school will use the funding to refurbish their playground, purchase equipment and deliver extracurricular clubs for pupils including team games, creative and forest school. They will train older children as â€˜Adventure Leadersâ€™ to help deliver activities and train a Level 4 Forest School leader to ensure the future sustainability of the project. This will help aid the confidence, physical and social development of pupils, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The group will use the funding to provide film making opportunities for vulnerable young women, including young mothers. Weekly film workshops will improve their confidence, empower them to improve their lives and enable them to develop creative media and film making skills, leading towards accredited awards.

The organisation will use the funding towards refurbishing their youth club/junior clubhouse. This will provide new facilities and diversionary, social and recreational activities for young people at risk of antisocial behaviour.

The school will use the funding to purchase playground equipment, and provide a programme of physical activity training and extra curricula clubs for inactive pupils. This will help them archive their goals, improve their confidence, self-esteem, personal development and physical wellbeing.
The organisation will use the funding to make improvements to its community allotment site. This will enable the organisation to make it easier for older people and new members to attend to their plots.
The Better Play Project 08 Jul 2015
The funding will be used to install a fitness trail and playground storage unit on the schoolâ€™s grounds. This will promote regular physical exercise for all the children at the school.
The project will develop a funding plan, and work with developers, professionals and the community to transform Newbiggin Golf Club into a community asset. They plan to improve the venue and create a facility that can be used by local groups and residents for activities and events.
