The England-wide project will provide a programme of clear information, advice and support to young people at risk or already self-harming to help prevent them from harming and work through the issues behind their self-harm. Support includes an updated website with information such as emergency contact details and interactive distraction techniques whilst also covering the myths of self harming, staying safe and links to other support. Young people can also access a privacy protected online forum.
The organisation will use the funding to provide outdoor play equipment for children who have outdated and limited facilities for outdoor play. This will enable the organisation to improve the childrenâ€™s physical health.

The organisation will use the funding to improve access to the centre and its facilities by installing wider doors, handrails, ramps and a level carpark surface with designated spaces for people with disabilities. This will enable the group to improve accessibility of a community facility, ensuring that all local residents can use the building and access activities, particularly those targeted towards people with chronic illnesses, disabilities or mobility problems.
The organisation will use the funding to remove the old, leaking roof from its premises and replace it with a modern, insulated roof. This will enable the group to repair and prevent damp and damage caused by water leaking into the building so that activities can be delivered in safe and comfortable surroundings.

This is the development of a project to support vulnerable and challenging young people, providing a safe place for them to socialise and learn. The funding will enable the group to expand its services throughout Lowestoft. Activities will include cooking, arts, crafts, sports, movie nights and workshops on sexual health, drugs and mental health. There is also a homework club, opportunities for young people to train as mentors and support for parents and carers.
This organisation will use the funding to provide tailored support to victims of domestic abuse, particularly targeting young people. This will enable the organisation to target the effects of domestic abuse and help young people to avoid or deal with the negative impact that abuse can have on people.
Widening Participation at Bedford Guild House 25 Aug 2016
The organisation will use the funding to host a series of events for older people over four months. This will enable the organisation to connect with older people from the large proportion of ethnic minority groups in the borough. They will invite them to spend time with the organisationâ€™s current service users - the majority of whom are white, British â€“ form friendships, raise cultural awareness , and engage in events including tai chi, chair based exercises and a traditional tea dance.
This project will install outdoor fitness equipment in the school grounds for use during break times and after school clubs. This will encourage children to be more physically active which will improve their health and wellbeing.
