The organisation have identified that there are limited access to services for people who are disadvantaged or vulnerable living in the local villages which are rurally isolated. This will be addressed by building the skills and capacity to develop a community and social hub offering public service information and advice, a referral service, local community action and volunteering and access to public and voluntary sector support services locally.
The St Marks 'Community Debates' 19 Dec 2016
This project will develop an out of school debating programme that will involve pupils from local schools, and the wider community including older people. This will engage the whole community in debating activities, provide an opportunity for participants to develop critical thinking and listening skills, reduce isolation and bring the community together.
Young at Heart 16 Nov 2016
This project will use the funding to work alongside a local arts group to provide a programme of activities including craft sessions, an afternoon film club and dance and movement sessions for the benefit of older people. This will engage beneficiaries in a range of stimulating activities with the aim of reducing social isolation and improving their health and well-being.

This Academy will use the funding to purchase a new climbing frame, safe surfacing and all weather table tennis tables for the school playground. This will allow the school to provide more health and fitness activities for the school children and encourage healthier lifestyles.

The organisation will use the funding to work in partnership with local not for profit organisations to purchase chairs, IT and entertainment equipment to support the ongoing activities of a community day centre. The organisation will use the funding to replace their rowing boat stock for their sea cadet activities. This will allow the sea cadets to practice and take part in competitions and training exercises and support the continuation of sea cadet activities for young people within the community who are NEET and those from disadvantaged backgrounds; giving them the life skills and confidence to improve their career paths and life chances.

The organisation will use the funding to host a tea dance for people from and people associated with Whiteley Village. This will enable the organisation to bring people of different ages together to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the village.
A Recipe for Good Living 25 Nov 2015
This organisation will use the funding to run a series of cookery and food hygiene courses for parents in the area who will then peer mentor others on completion of training. This will enable the organisation to improve diets and the health of disadvantaged people and their families with free training courses.
This club will use the funding to resurface the car park to improve access to the club. This will ensure it is safe for older people and those with mobility issues and it will enable people from the local community to take part in social and community activities at the club.

This project will use the funding to upgrade their current IT equipment and will include the purchase of new desktops, tablets and cabling for the benefit of pupils and staff. This will enable the organisation to run more efficiently and deliver improved teaching methods to pupils.

This project will host a multicultural festival in Dover. The festival will showcase the variety of cultures which make up Dover and will give the community the chance to try new food, music, traditional dance, art and learn about other cultures as well as to celebrate traditional British cuisine. In the run up to the festival, groups will be offered access to workshops to explore the different cultures represented in the town.
Thanet Community Support Partnership (TCSP) 25 Jan 2017
This group will continue to develop its work to reduce social isolation in older people by offering a variety of services, enabling older people to remain independent in their own homes. The group will provide a variety of activities, including a volunteer befriending scheme, social events and transport for the least mobile and most socially isolated.

The Parish Council will use the funding to purchase new chairs for the local village hall and community venues. This will provide safe seating which will allow community activities and events to continue to bring people together in this rurally isolated village.
Musical and technology equipment will be purchased so the group can expand the services they provide. This will help to provide musical skills sessions for people with learning disabilities.

The organisation will use the funding to install disabled access boardwalks to enable them to open their local nature reserve to the general public. This will enable full access for all visitors to a community environmental facility.

The organisation will use the funding to install a chain link fence around their allotment and carry out groundworks to clear part of the allotment which has become overgrown and unusable. This will improve the area for members and the local community and ensure the site is more secure with an aim of reducing vandalism and theft.
