This new project, delivered by young people, will establish a healthy lifestyle programme for young people in East Sussex with the aim of reducing obesity and alcohol misuse and helping young people buy and cook healthy foods. The young people involved in the project will travel to schools and youth clubs to promote the project and recruit other young people to act as trainers.
This project to train young people as wellbeing champions and deliver physical activity and mental health sessions to other young people. Final amount of grant dispersed may differ due to project underspend and within agreed tolerance.

Rode Heath Young Peoples Community Centre Limited run a young people’s Community Centre, utilised by a range of children and young people’s groups. The organisation have identified a need for modernising their kitchen to provide better facilities for the young people’s groups, who use the centre. The grant makes a contribution towards the kitchen refurbishment.

This organisation works with young people on the streets of the Saffron Estate and in open spaces, providing advice and guidance on issues that affect young people's lives. The project will work with young people to improve long term economic activity by increasing the number of employment and training opportunities available to them by offering courses.

This project will create volunteering opportunities for young people in and around the North East's cultural sector in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. For example, the Great North Run cultural programme is interested in developing a young curators programme and the new Live Art festival would like to develop live performances for and by young people. Young people will be trained in the role of becoming young advocates.
This project will fund an existing young persons mentoring programme being run by SOVA in Lincolnshire and enable trained young people (previously mentored) to promote the benefits of and deliver mentoring to other young people at risk. The project aims to reduce the likelihood of young people aged 10-17yrs, getting involved in crime or re-offending.
