People's Parliament for People with Learning Disabilities
National Youth Advocacy Service provides advocacy & volunteer independent visiting for children & young people in care in Cheshire. This project aims to improve the physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable children and young people. The grant will be used to fund positive activities for isolated children in care, to improve their confidence, well-being, resilience, skills and placement stability of the children and young people taking part.

This is a project by a charity in Lewisham. The group will use funding to develop African and contemporary music and dance sessions with new dance styles for obese children and young people with poor eating habits. This disability group in Bebington, Wirral, will use funding to install an automated push button door in its premises and deliver disability awareness training to public and private sector organisations. This will enable people to better understand issues faced by people with disabilities and address legislation affecting disabled people.
The group will use the funding to scale up an existing project through piloting an online platform that engages young people in project activities with the aim of reducing anti-social behaviour and creating safe places within the local community for young people.

Crisis Recovery UK seek to help socially excluded people by providing them with information and practical help. The group will work with a number of churches to collect a wide range of furniture, household goods, children's clothes and food parcels to supply to people in need in Lewisham.

Tideway Adventurers provides a narrowboat for young people and community groups that allows young people to learn about the canal ways and environment while developing teamwork and communication skills. The award will fund a new hearing system and cooker for the narrowboat which will enable young people from across London to use the narrowboat at any time of the year.

The project is creating café style support groups, run by volunteers, for people with MS to come together, build relationships and share their experiences. The project also includes counselling and mindfulness activities to help people cope with the emotional and psychological impact that MS can have.
