The Legion's hall is used for a variety of clubs and individuals. As part of an ongoing refurbishment project they will extend and develop the front hall to include disabled toilets and baby-changing facilities.
Entertainment afternoon 24 Mar 2005
This branch of the Royal British Legion will use their award to hold a reunion to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The Royal British Legion North West Norfolk branch will use their award to hold a range of activities to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of the War. These activities will involve a street party, 1940s style Tea Dance, 1940s Big Band Dance, Parade and a Commemorative service.
VE Day Parade Celebration 14 Apr 2005
The Kings Lynn branch of the Royal British Legion will use an award to hold a V.E. Day and V.J. Day commemoration event to mark the 60th anniversary of these significant events. This will include a Veterans parade, and Memorial service which will include Naval, Army and Air Cadets.

The High Ongar Branch of the RBL have received an award to carry out a parade in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of VE and VJ Days.
Grand Parade and Church Service 28 Apr 2005
The Castle Acre & District Branch of the Royal British Legion will use an award to hold a grand parade and church service to commemorate the 60th anniversary, and a commemoration lunch. The group will be producing a booklet outlining the impact of WW2 on their group's history, this will be distributed to the general public.
Parade to the War Memorial 28 Apr 2005
The Clacton-On-Sea Branch of The Royal British Legion would use the grant to assist with the costs of holding a parade to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the end of WW2. This would involve numerous local groups besides the Legion itself, including: Sea Cadets, the Scouts, St John's Ambulance Brigade, Land Army and an array of ex-servicemen and women. This would be supported by a marching band and would provide the centrepiece for the localities commemoration programme.
Recording of Experiences and Memories 28 Apr 2005
The Southminster branch of the Royal British Legion will use their award to record the wartime memories of veterans and local residents. A parade through the village involving veterans and historical vehicles will visit local schools enabling the children to see and talk with the members and the owners of the vehicles.
Stowmarket VE/VJ Day Celebrations 28 Apr 2005
The group will use a grant to organise a day of events to both celebrate and commemorate the 60th Anniversary of VE/VJ Day. This will include a parade and Church service featuring a number of local organisations. This will all be concluded with a large-scale curry lunch for veterans and other attendees.
Celebratory Evening and Dance 28 Apr 2005
The Royal British Legion, Welwyn Garden City Branch have been awarded a grant that will allow them to hold two celebratory events for VE and VJ Day. The events will be attended by members and their families.
Service Of Thanksgiving 28 Apr 2005
The Sandy & District Branch of the Royal British Legion are seeking a grant to assist in paying for a Service of Thanksgiving to mark the 6oth Anniversary of the end of WW2, including the laying up of three dedicated standards in front of a large cross-generational congregation. This would be followed by a buffet and Anniversary cake for all of those involved. The contribution would also help to fund a video record of the event and a large number of souvenir orders of service.
60th Anniversary Commemoration 28 Apr 2005
The Mordens Branch of the Royal British Legion will use a grant to hold a joint event with the 335th Fighter Group Association to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of VE Day. The programme of events will include a Service of Thanksgiving and wreath-laying ceremony to be concluded with a 'Hog Roast' and fireworks in the evening. This will be attended by a broad array of people- including veterans from Britain and the United States, alongside the other members of the local community.
