"Lightbulb" is a project that seeks to assist elderly, disabled or isolated people with a helping hand to perform practical tasks that they find difficult to perform themselves. Funding was provided to enable the group to develop their work into Moulsecoomb and Bevendean and will be used to cover project expenses.
After School Adventurers - Fernee forest club 11 Jun 2018
Fernee forest club sessions link to the seasons and gently encourage learning about nature through having fun, inspiring curiosity and practical activities. Funding was provided to support after school forest club sessions for families in Bevendean.
Amaze provides information, advice and support to families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The Sunflower Group is part of the AMAZE organisation and run monthly coffee mornings to serve the local community of Moulsecoomb and Whitehawk. Funding was provided for a summer outing for parent carers and their families.
Speak Out East 12 Oct 2017
Brighton & Hove Speak Out supports adults with learning disabilities to speak up and be heard about the things that matter to them. Funding was provided to support activities and workshops at the Drop-In from Christmas through to Summer 2018.
The East Brighton Bygones Local History Society aim to foster a wider interest in the local history of Brighton and Hove. Funding was provided to support the costs of running the group, including speakers and trips out.
Metamorphosis Art Group - art and yoga sessions 17 Jul 2017
Metamorphosis is a small, volunteer-run, art community group in Moulescoomb, based at St Francis church hall providing regular weekly sessions. Most members are elderly. Some activities are 'drop in', allowing people to bring in their own projects or use group materials. They run outings to art exhibitions, local park sketching with picnics, run art tutorials and yoga classes, plus other activities which enable socialising. Funding was provided towards running costs.
Grant to Rye Museum Association 20 Nov 2017
Rye Castle Museum exists to provide access to an Ancient monument and a collection of artefacts that reflect the history of the town of Rye. Funding was provided for a new digital projector and some hands-on items to add to the smugglers display in the Castle.
Release Counselling and Therapy for Women is a community counselling project providing affordable counselling for vulnerable and isolated women in Brighton & Hove, experiencing any mental health distress. Funding was provided towards the costs of running a 10- week therapeutic group for new mums suffering from post-natal depression or anxiety called 'Mummyshock!'. The aim of the group is to nurture resilience and confidence in new mums.

We are an online community newspaper, run by volunteers, and we publish each week news, information and opinions on issues that interest and concern the community of Rye and District. Funding was provided to enable them to purchase new visual display materials as well as modern visual and audio recording equipment, specifically an SLR camera and a digital recorder.

Selsey Community Forum aims to enable residents to work together to discern local needs and find solutions to them. Funding was provided to pay the hire costs for a local facility one afternoon a week. This will provide a safe, pleasant space for social interaction in Selsey.

Therapeutic gardening project 05 Jul 2017
The aims of Refugees Welcome - Crawley are to encourage a positive narrative about refugees in Crawley, to welcome Syrian people who are resettled in the town and to welcome refugees living in the town or passing through the town. Funding was provided to reimburse volunteers for petrol and for garden tools and compost, seeds and materials to make raised beds.
Moving Maths 14 Jul 2017
Spiltmilk Dance is a professional dance company delivering projects in schools and community settings, and creating and touring performance work nationally. This project will explore a dance and movement-based approach to teaching maths to children aged 4-7 in three Rotherham Primary Schools.
