Funding to provide a marquee tent for the Birstwith Horticultural show which engages with residents and promotes community participation.
Funding will allow a homework project to be run. Stage one is the newcomer programme focusing mainly on the improvement of language skills to facilitate their transition to the UK educational system. Stage two is an exam booster, providing tutorial sessions on content area instruction.
Film and Theatre Project 12 Jul 2017
The funding would be used to buy in two theatre performances and two film showings. This is to promote stronger communities and community participation which is important in a small village.

This project would support children from mixed backgrounds who are at the crucial stage of developing their academic social skills. It will allow them to practice their English skills as well as to develop their artistic skills and provide other learning opportunities
Funding to extend our current range of social events to being suitable for older children up to age 18 and to pay for 4-6 age-appropriate outings such as bowling, rock climbing, pottery painting or pizza-making.
Grant to Marton Cum Grafton Parish Council 30 Jun 2017
Funding to purchase 18,000 daffodil bulbs to be planted by local volunteers in the grass verges along the approach roads into Marton Cum Grafton.
Funding to purchase equipment for use by the volunteers of the Harrogate Support Group in supporting the work of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at the Staveley nature reserve and also to site a shipping container to store the equipment on site.
