New Boiler/Curtains 19 Oct 2017
Winchelsea Village Hall is a community facility providing venue and facilities to local residents, surrounding villages and over 30 local organisations. Funding was provided towards improvement works: (a) renewal of central heating boiler, and (b) new curtains for better heat conservation and to enable better black-out for film projector events.
Grant to Grow Project 16 Mar 2018
The Grow Project works with adults with mental health issues in the greater Brighton & Hove area. Funding was provided to enable the group to run 2 x 8 week courses called 'The Season'. Groups of 12 participants will travel from central Brighton to the National Trust’s Saddlecombe Farm or other locations in the South Downs and carry out a wide range of activities to suit mood, energy level, physical ability and interest.
Rye and District Street Pastors provide caring, listening and help for individuals out in the town's clubs and pubs, through practical acts of support. Funding was provided towards their general running costs.
Barefoot Opera 05 Jul 2017
Barefoot Opera offers singing training at all levels from scratch to professional. Funding was provided towards supporting two professional workshop leaders to deliver 3 two hour drop-in sessions as part of their outreach work aimed at reaching those who would not normally have access to the arts.

Now! Charity Group Ltd have 2 arms- Furniture Now provides household goods at minimal cost to help overcome material poverty and reduce waste, and Training Now which provides free training and activities to help people escape poverty and isolation. Hidden services include Syrian resettlement and Discretionary Emergency Support schemes for those in crisis. Funding was provided as a contribution towards running costs including tutor costs, training materials, stationery, admin, venues and volunteer travel costs.

The Antifreeze centre, through the Off the Fence Trust, provides a safe space and welcoming place to connect with others in the community, and offers practical and emotional support for exiting homelessness. Funding was provided towards running costs.

Brightpip offers community-based Infant Mental Health Services from conception to 2 yrs for parents & infants at risk, to boost parental confidence & develop safe secure attachments with their baby. Funding was provided to support a range of their activities including a Mellow Bumps Groups for high risk mums-to-be and a Baby Massage Group for parents with issues around attachment.

We are FoodPioneers CIC are a Worthing based social enterprise delivering food related events and projects with and for predominantly disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Funding was provided for an innovative seaweed project ‘From the Sea Health’ to restore and celebrate the town’s connections with a food and fertiliser source that is also vital for the marine environment and wildlife.

The Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra (WPO) is a community orchestra with over 75 local members including professional and semi-professional musicians, university and college students, teachers and amateurs. Funding was provided towards the cost of commissioning composer James Olsen to compose a piece for two adult choirs, children’s choir and orchestra on the occasion of its 70th anniversary.

ARRCC is a dynamic charity based at Rye Creative Centre that focuses on arts, health and wellbeing. The charity provides a range of support, advice and development opportunities for adults with physical and sensory impairments, learning difficulties and older members of the community, including those living with dementia. This funding is for a multi-disciplinary creative programme for ARRCC’s current Members and the public with physical & sensory disabilities.
Arthritis Care (Worthing and District) empower people to help control their arthritis. They provide a programme of social activities, welfare, information, fundraising for our cause and personal support. They have monthly meetings enabling people to meet with others with the same condition. This funding will enable their disabled and less mobile members to attend their monthly meetings.
