Grant to Grow Project 16 Mar 2018
The Grow Project works with adults with mental health issues in the greater Brighton & Hove area. Funding was provided to enable the group to run 2 x 8 week courses called 'The Season'. Groups of 12 participants will travel from central Brighton to the National Trust’s Saddlecombe Farm or other locations in the South Downs and carry out a wide range of activities to suit mood, energy level, physical ability and interest.

We are FoodPioneers CIC are a Worthing based social enterprise delivering food related events and projects with and for predominantly disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Funding was provided for an innovative seaweed project ‘From the Sea Health’ to restore and celebrate the town’s connections with a food and fertiliser source that is also vital for the marine environment and wildlife.

Brighton Surf Life Saving Club, provides people of all ages with the opportunity to enjoy the sea in a fun and safe environment, with training, equipment and a variety of membership types. Funding was provided to enable them to purchase an Arancia Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) and engine.
Grant to Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra 19 Mar 2018
The Worthing Philharmonic Orchestra (WPO) is a community orchestra with over 75 local members including professional and semi-professional musicians, university and college students, teachers and amateurs. Funding was provided towards the cost of commissioning composer James Olsen to compose a piece for two adult choirs, children’s choir and orchestra on the occasion of its 70th anniversary.

South Downs Leisure is a charity and Community Leisure Trust, delivering sport and leisure facilities on behalf of Adur and Worthing Borough Councils. A grant was provided to cover the cost of running The GreenDreams community event, enabling a diverse range of activities, including environmental conservation workshops, interactive wildlife experiences and free mind body sessions including Tai Chi & Yoga .
Arthritis Care (Worthing and District) empower people to help control their arthritis. They provide a programme of social activities, welfare, information, fundraising for our cause and personal support. They have monthly meetings enabling people to meet with others with the same condition. This funding will enable their disabled and less mobile members to attend their monthly meetings.
Grant to Care for Veterans 20 Mar 2018
Care for Veterans provides long-term nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and award-winning end of life care to disabled ex-Service personnel from the RAF, Army, Royal Navy and auxiliary services. Funding was provided towards the costs of the design, installation and maintenance of a new Solar Panel System on their buildings.
Grant to Stonepillow 20 Mar 2018
Stonepillow provide both overnight hostel faculties (365 days a year) and a daytime Hub (3 days per week) in Bognor Regis. They recently purchased a new 14 bed property to increase the capacity of their overnight hostel from 10 to 14 beds. Funding was provided for the additional staff required to support the increase in residents.

A grant was provided towards Lancing Football Club's 'train and retain' programme. The aim of this programme is to keep people involved in football. Funding was provided to enable them to hire a part time UEFA qualified coach to work with all the age groups and local schools.
Grant to Rye News CIC 21 Mar 2018
We are an online community newspaper, run by volunteers, and we publish each week news, information and opinions on issues that interest and concern the community of Rye and District. Funding was provided to enable them to purchase new visual display materials as well as modern visual and audio recording equipment, specifically an SLR camera and a digital recorder.
Grant to Bognorphenia CIC 16 Mar 2018
Bognorphenia is an organisation that celebrates the past, present and future of Bognor Regis. Funding was provided for staging equipment for a performance on Bognorphenia’s Young People’s Day on the 28th -29th of April 2018. This performance was a showcase of circus skills learnt by a class of around 15 young people over a period of 6 weeks.
Grant to Rye Christmas Festival 21 Mar 2018
The Rye Community festival is a one day festival to celebrate Christmas. Funding was provided to enable the festival to facilitate an arts project with local schools to add to the decor of the town. It also supported the costs of purchasing an interactive snow globe with a backdrop of Rye and the hire of street performers and balloon artists to encourage more fun and activity to the High Street.
Grant to Southdowns Folk Festival 16 Mar 2018
The Southdowns Folk Festival takes place in Bognor Regis in September. Funding was provided to expand and extend the successful `pilot` project they ran in 2017 which focussed on training and `hands on` experience for a small cohort of local long-term unemployed people in event management and associated skills.
Grant to Portslade Green Gym 16 Mar 2018
Portslade Green Gym aims to inspire participants to improve both their health and well-being as well as the environment. Funding was provided to support their work across the various sites and will help to cover costs such as tools, clothing and insurances. This financial support would enable volunteers and friends of groups to access the service without needing to pay for each Green Gym visit.

Esteem aims to empower young people aged 14-26 years through youth led projects, unique opportunities and 1:1 mentoring. Funding was provided towards the salary of a Help & Support Project Worker for 16 hours per week.

Brighton Permaculture Trust promotes sustainability, biodiversity and community cohesion and is the lead organisation managing Racehill Community Orchard. Funding was provided to allow Brighton Permaculture to expand and establish 6 traditional community orchards in or adjoining housing estates in East Brighton with local residents.
