Grant to DISABILITY ACTION GROUP of EAST PRESTON 15 Mar 2018
Disability Action Group of East Preston was set up to address issues experienced by people with disabilities in their area. Funding was provided to support the renovation of their toilers.
The house sparrows project is being led by Brighton and Hove’s Wildlife Forum (http://www.bhwf.org.uk) BHWF has a commitment to conserve and enhance biodiversity across the Brighton and Hove area. A grant was provided to support the purchase of capital items such as nest boxes, bird food and wildlife seed.
Grant to Asperger's Voice 16 Mar 2018
Asperger's Voice is a self-advocacy group which hosts 12 group meetings per year for autistic adults to make friends, share experience and advice and discuss local and national issues. Funding was provided to meet the groups projected running costs for a year.
ORPS has been the voice of Ovingdean for the last 30 years. Its stated aims are: "To promote and preserve the amenities and ambience of the area and to act generally in the interests of the district" by leading, championing and supporting community projects. Funding was provided to support the cost of running the Ovingdean Green Festival in 2018.
Grant to Hands of Hope Charity 16 Mar 2018
Hands of Hope Charity support people in East Sussex & Kent to improve their lives by growing, cooking and eating healthy food. Funding was provided to help them set up two Lunch Clubs to benefit up to 60 older people in Peasmarsh & Brede.
Grant to Brighton Sailing Club 16 Mar 2018
Brighton Sailing Club is a comprehensive non-motorised water sports club, with a longstanding tradition of making sailing an affordable and accessible community sport. Funding was provided to support the costs of both maintaining and refurbishing their fleet of pool boats.
Grant to Enthum Foundation 16 Mar 2018
The Enthum Foundation provide accommodation, access to education, immigration and therapeutic support to UASC; unaccompanied asylum seeking children (boys) aged 16-18. Funding was provided towards the start up core costs of their flagship residential home, Enthum House, opening in Eastbourne in July 2018.
Lightbulb 22 Feb 2018
"Lightbulb" is a project that seeks to assist elderly, disabled or isolated people with a helping hand to perform practical tasks that they find difficult to perform themselves. Funding was provided to enable the group to develop their work into Moulsecoomb and Bevendean and will be used to cover project expenses.
Grant to Friends at Blatch (FAB) 16 Mar 2018
FAB aim to ensure good communication between parents and teachers in the education of children at home and in Blatchington Mill school. Funding was provided to pay for the implementation of a new, Science, Technology, Engineering Art and Maths (STEAM) initiative. It will specifically pay for two school trips associated with the project and cover the cost of the materials used for the students to develop the innovative solutions the project challenges.
After School Adventurers - Fernee forest club 11 Jun 2018
Fernee forest club sessions link to the seasons and gently encourage learning about nature through having fun, inspiring curiosity and practical activities. Funding was provided to support after school forest club sessions for families in Bevendean.
Grant to Assert 16 Mar 2018
Assert support and advice to adults with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism and their parents/carers. Funding was provided towards the cost of their part-time Volunteer and Activities Co-ordinator.
The East Brighton Bygones Local History Society aim to foster a wider interest in the local history of Brighton and Hove. Funding was provided to support the costs of running the group, including speakers and trips out.

The Heathfield Partnership Trust Started in 1995 and is a regeneration charity that works for the people of Heathfield and surrounding villages in order to improve their area and keep it vibrant. Funding was provided towards the running costs of their Wealden Works project; getting 16-24 year olds back into education, work or training.
Grant to Music Well CIC 21 Mar 2018
Music Well has a mission of "wellbeing through music" and delivers music therapy, singing for wellbeing and better breathing, drum circles and workshops to people of all ages with health needs ranging from autism to Alzheimer's in the local community. Funding was provided to support their programme running costs.
PACSO supports disabled children and their siblings (Young Carers) aged 0-25 across West Sussex; enabling parents to access much needed respite. Funding was provided towards the salary of their full time Play Manager.

Seaford Lifeguards is a well established volunteer Lifeguard service. After two years of research and planning Seaford Lifeguards established the Sussex Flood Rescue team, currently made up of 12 volunteer water rescue technicians from the various lifeguard clubs and organisations within Sussex. Funding was provided to purchase life saving and personal protective equipment for volunteers.
Grant to St James' Trust (Seaford) Ltd 16 Mar 2018
St James Trust (Seaford) objects are to undertake voluntary work in education, to provide social services and a wide range of activities for Seaford and Newhaven. They provide and maintain a community centre and aim to build stronger communities to enhance peoples life and wellbeing. The community centre has undergone much refurbishment and repair and provides Seaford and Newhaven with a large, fit for purpose community centre but currently there is no disabled access to the second floor. Funding was provided for the installation of a new staircase and lift to improve access and to change a garage to a meeting/art room to expand the use of the centre.

Shine for Life offers Equine Assisted Therapy to a range of client groups, including young people and adults with mental health issues. They provide a supportive, nature based environment, to improve the well-being of people, offering therapeutic interventions using horses, where clients can see their own behaviour patterns more clearly. Funding was provided to enable them to run ten tailored programmes of Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) to adult clients with mental health issues.

Youth Dream (Selsey) Limited offers a comprehensive range of multi-channel youth services for the community. It acts as a resource for young people living in their community providing advice and assistance, and organising programmes of physical, mental, educational and leisure time activities which enable young people to advance in life. Funding was provided towards the provision of after school and evening clubs, counselling, guidance and employment support for young people.
