Cerdd Iaith/ Listening to Language: Music inspiring rich language learning in Welsh schools 02 Aug 2017
This grant will support continued training for teachers in using music to teach modern foreign languages in the primary-school classroom.
Schools are potentially natural places for integration where the needs of migrant children and families can be identified and addressed and where equal participation in society can be facilitated. This project will engage schools and a wide range of stakeholders in education and in integration in order to identify good and promising practice towards successful integration of migrant children and their families, across all areas of learning and school life.
Music for Change 26 Feb 2018
Music for Change aims to improve the speech, language and communication skills of children aged 3 to 5. This initiative is directed towards children experiencing disadvantage, with English as an additional language and/or with speech and language delay. The programme will run in clusters of nurseries and offer training for early years practitioners in Hastings, Luton, Essex and London Borough of Harrow.
