Northumberland schools 'Your past, Our future' 08 Nov 2004
The aim of the scheme is to involve as many pupils as possible in finding out about how people in Northumberland were involved in WW2 & to join with Veterans and their families in commemoration. Many schools are studying WW2 as part of their normal curriculum, some hold joint celebrations with local veteran groups already. This work will be further developed as a result of the grant with emphasis on using in particular war memorials. Pupils will meet veterans & their families and 16 schools will be involved
Revenue Grant 18 Apr 2005
This revenue grant will promote the use of the PE and Sports facilities. Activities will particularly focus on engaging users from disadvantaged groups.
Community Transport Brokerage 10 May 2005
This project will provide a community transport service to people in Berwick and Alnwick who are older, disabled or without access to other means of transport.
Furnishing and Equipping New Building 22 Jan 2008
This group will purchase equipment including furniture and art materials for its new building, allowing it to extend its services to cover the whole year. The group will also run play schemes during school holidays.
Growing Together 11 Sep 2008
This group will use an award to develop family learning sessions for foundation age pupils who may require support due to deprivation, special educational needs or being in a family where English is a second language. The sessions will be delivered out of school hours and will include subjects such as speech, language, art and gardening activities.
Ashington Judo 2012 14 Jul 2008
This judo club will use funding to purchase equipment and accommodate those currently on the waiting list. Coaches will gain further qualifications, improving the quality of coaching within the club.
A Wide Reach 10 Feb 2011
This community organisation in Northumberland will use funding to help disadvantaged pupils gain skills and confidence by discussing local issues with other pupils, school leavers, families and wider community members in a series of filmed interviews to document local concerns.

This will ensure that the group can continue to offer its service to users and also develop additional use, the group is not currently used to its full capacity because of these issues.

This school in Stamfordham will use funding to turn the school garden into a community garden. This will reduce isolation in this rural community, provide a focus to bring the community together and make full use of a centrally located piece of unused land.

This community organisation in Northumberland will use funding to offer a summer holiday programme of sport, arts and crafts, cookery and game playing activites for all the local children and families in the community. This will lower anti social behaviour by cutting boredom levels.
