Enrichment Programme 24 May 2017
The funding will be used by a school to run a programme of summer holiday activities for its pupils who, because of emotional and behavioural difficulties, are unable to access mainstream activities in the community. The project aims to strengthen the community by diverting young people from anti-social behaviour and improve their health and wellbeing by taking part in physical activity.
The project will provide activities for the community including trips, exercise sessions and a Christmas party. This will bring the community together, break down barriers and reduce isolation.

The project will renovate the building and purchase equipment so they can deliver creative and sports activities for young people. This will provide young people with opportunities to engage in positive activities and access support, which will reduce anti social behaviour and improve community cohesion.

The group will hold a one day festival for the local community. The will provide an opportunity for diverse communities to come together with the aim of improving cohesion, promoting tolerance and reducing instances of hate crime and antisocial behaviour.

This funding is for the refurbishment of the community centre in Halliwell, Bolton to improve accessibility for all members of the community with lift access, ramps and widening doors for disabled access. The group will offer new activities and services including regular computer classes, a skills development programme and recreational activities. The improved facilities will also make the hall a resource for the wider community to access and enjoy for functions and events.

The funding will be used by a school to run a Duke of Edinburgh Award course. The project aims to provide the children with the opportunity to develop skills and increased confidence to support their chances of employment in the future.

The funding will be used to provide activity sessions based around science, technology, engineering and financial literacy to children with Autism, sensory processing disorders and additional needs. The project aims to increase their life chances by giving them the skills to access careers in science and technology, and to manage their own finances.
