This is a project by a community organisation in Lydbrook, Gloucestershire, benefiting people across Herefordshire. They will use the funding to provide a series of arts based sessions for older people living in care homes. This will engage them in creative activities to reduce isolation, loneliness and feelings of depression.
Herefordshire Green Network - Get Active! 02 Aug 2017
This group will use the funding to provide their network of more than 40 organisations with project funding advice, public relations and social media training, website support and workshops, to increase engagement within local communities. This will provide people with a better understanding of local and national resources to help save energy in their communities and develop stronger links between local organisations.
Forest School for All 01 Nov 2017
A programme of forest school activities will be delivered which will support children and parents living in this rurally isolated area, enabling them to engage with and improve the local environment.
This group will use the funding to trial the loan of nappy kits, which will be delivered by tricycle to families in Herefordshire. Families will be supported to use cloth nappies as an alternative to disposable, improving the environment by reducing the number going to landfill.
This group will use the funding to install new equipment and furniture following the refurbishment of the parish hall. This will provide improved facilities, which will increase social events and the range of activities available to the local community.
Sellack Village Hall Stage System 02 Aug 2017
This group will use the funding to purchase a set of portable staging units, replacing their existing stage which is worn out and no longer fit for use. This will ensure continued use of their village hall for community events and activities.
