St Oswald's Health and Well-Being Club 04 Jan 2017
The school will install outdoor gym equipment to provide new fitness activities for pupils and children in the wider community. This will encourage children to become more active and make healthy lifestyle choices.
The project will provide workshops and work experience for young people who aren't in education, employment or training and young people with mental health issues. This will help to break down social barriers and empower young people with new skills.
Harlow Green Community Festival 15 Feb 2017
The project will hold a community festival day with entertainment, childrenâ€™s activities, arts and craft stalls, and healthy eating areas. This will provide residents of Harlow Green Estate with advice and information on different organisations in Gateshead, and opportunities to build new relationships, reduce their social isolation and improve community spirit.

The school will install all weather outdoor fitness equipment and provide more physical activities for children to aid their development and physical wellbeing.

The project will continue to deliver weekly dance/movement sessions in Bensham. This will provide social and recreational activities and events to improve the physical and social wellbeing of vulnerable and isolated people.

The project will deliver intergenerational activities and trips for their residents and local primary school children culminating in an exhibition and a booklet of their work. The activities will explore what makes ‘a good life’ and will include creative sessions, gardening and baking activities.

This is a project by an organisation in Newcastle serving people in Gateshead. The project will provide a range of activities for their members, including gardening, cultural and creative sessions, visits to community venues and learning activities that bring different generations together. This will provide respite, peer support, recreational and social activities for carers and former carers to help them to become active in their communities and to reduce isolation.

The project will create performance opportunities for a local choir whose members are primarily African migrants. They will provide mentoring and learning support and workshops for the choir, build links with youth groups and schools trusts, and deliver school workshops to diverse communities.

The project will continue to provide tailored learning plans for young adults with learning disabilities to help improve their volunteering and employment opportunities. They will provide employment placements, job search, CV writing, mock interviews, enterprise and personal development training.
