The GCVS Connect project will ensure the voluntary and community sector in Glasgow is well linked in to public affairs and is informed, supported and engaged in order to maximise its contribution to the Council's agenda to tackle poverty and social exclusion in the city.
The DRC Youth Poject works with socially excluded young people along the Dumbarton road corridor. A community development holistic approach is utilised that is person centred and responsive to the particular needs of todays young people. The focus is on areas such as health, alcohol/drug abuse, employability and territorial issues with an aim to provide an alternative to crime, addictions and unhealthy lifestyles.

Running a ‘One Stop Shop' database then working with all providers to test and place applicants including providing assessments and classes where gaps in provision are identified.
Established in 2015 MugStock is a charity based in the North West of Glasgow. Its main activity is creating an annual family friendly music and arts festival in nearby Mugdock Country Park, however as a charity run by volunteers the focus is on skills and community development all year round. As an employer there is awareness of the crucial skills needed, and Mugstock is well placed to help fill the gaps identified.
Who Cares? Scotland supports the voice of care experienced people across Scotland through individual advocacy support, group participation activities and campaigning. A new Director of Operations will enhance the capacity of the senior leadership team, allowing the organisation to effectively manage the 1000 Voices campaign and influence the upcoming ‘Root and Branch’ review of the care system in Scotland.
