Dramatherapy at the Daylight Centre 22 Nov 2017
This project will run drama therapy sessions for people living with learning disabilities and autism, teaching them new skills which will improve their quality of life.
This new project will work with the Kosovan community in Islington and the surrounding areas to improve the quality of life, confidence, education, physical and mental health and skills of this community who often feel isolated. The project will provide volunteering opportunities, a mentoring programme, a youth activity programme, family projects and cultural and community development programmes. A team of Kosovan mentors provide one-to-one support.
This project will run movement and sound workshops for young people living with Autism in order to improve confidence, self-awareness and communication skills.
Bringing People Together 15 Nov 2017
This project will run a range of intergenerational events aimed at Ethiopian refugees and migrants to support older people in accessing health and social care information. It will also inspire young people who are at risk of gang culture through the involvement of role models, enabling people to come together, reduce isolation and address issues.

This project aims to address health inequalities by running a series of health sessions, including nutritional advice, cookery lessons and sharing events for local families.

This project will deliver a range of activities to support new and existing Chinese people in the area to bring about positive social change, improve their quality of life and help them integrate. The project will particularly focus on Mandarin speakers. A Project Coordinator will support those being supported to understand their rights and responsibilities, helping them to achieve their aims and develop activities and services to improve aspirations, self-esteem, confidence and independence.
How To Close Race Disparities Platform 12 Jun 2017
The project aims to look at the use of government and other data to create a platform to highlight racial disparities in public services and social and economic outcomes and to crowd source solutions. A development grant has been awarded to CORE to understand what this platform could look like and how it could be delivered.

This project will run community workshops and holiday clubs, where people can socialise and learn how to cook and eat more healthily. This will support them to improve their diet and wellbeing.
Friendship Works for Mental Health 29 Nov 2017
The project will provide a mentoring service to improve the social and emotional wellbeing of vulnerable young people who have the increased likelihood of experiencing mental health difficulties due to their circumstances. Young people will meet with their mentors three times a month for a minimum of two years – giving them opportunity to talk through the challenges in their lives and work out solutions.

Developing Leaders with Lived Experience 22 Jul 2017
This year-long scheme seeks to understand and test how to address this gap and ensure that people with experience of social issues have an equal opportunity to solve some of the biggest challenges facing their communities and society more broadly. It will see people with first-hand experience of social issues – such as poverty, discrimination, homelessness and other forms of social disadvantage – encouraged to be at the forefront of shaping solutions to those issues and driving change.
