Grant to Grow to School 17 Jul 2017
The Fore funded the salary of a project manager who will develop standardised resources that can be made available to all schools, exponentially improving Grow to School’s reach.
Growing for the future 25 Jan 2017
This project is an afterschool garden club for young people which will include community garden activities and training sessions on recycling and healthy eating.
The group will make improvements to a public green space which is used by the community for walks. This will make the space safer so it can be continued to be used.
Kirkburton Fitkids 08 Mar 2017
This project is out of school hours health based activities. This will encourage participation in physical activities with the aim of reducing childhood obesity.
Families Reading Together 22 Mar 2017
The school will create a family library area. This will provide a dedicated space for reading with the aim of developing literacy skills across the school community.
The school will install outdoor equipment and playground markings to increase opportunities for participation in physical activity.

The group will run a variety of outdoor activities, culminating in an exhibition of work, for children with emotional and behavioural issues and their parents and carers.
Back on Track Project (BoT) 27 Jan 2017
The group will provide an inspirational and motivational motorcycle traineeship and volunteering programme to target young people aged 12-16 who are at risk of committing crime or in danger of re-offending. The project will offer one-to-one mentoring which will be delivered by a local police mentor. Topics such as home life, how to discuss frustrations or feelings, anger management, and enabling young people to take control of future life decisions will be covered.
Mount-Up 01 Feb 2017
The funding will be used to run a programme of evening and weekend multi-sport activities for young people, with a particular focus on increasing girlâ€™s participation. The project aims to engage young people so they can socialise together and take part in positive extracurricular activities.
Formation of toilets and kitchenette 08 Feb 2017
The group will install accessible toilet facilities within their newly acquired community centre. This will enable the whole community, including wheelchair users and mothers with small children, to access all events and activities, with the aim of alleviating social exclusion.
Chickenley - one community 30 Nov 2017
The group will offer play provisions for young people, employment support and courses, training for parents of children starting nursery and alcohol and drug awareness education sessions for young people, alongside a variety of social events and activities for the whole community. This will ensure support and provisions for people of all ages, and will bring the community together.
Hepworth Community Running/Cycling Track 02 Aug 2017
The school will install an artificial track around the perimeter of the field. This will enable pupils, staff and members of the community to develop cycling skills and take part in running and walking.
Crowlees MUGA (Multi use games area) 19 Apr 2017
The school will install artificial surfacing to provide a safe place for children to play all year round, with the aim of reducing childhood obesity.
The LAB Development Project 30 Nov 2017
The group will use drama and psychotherapy based techniques to build the confidence, communication skills, self-esteem and emotional resilience of people who face barriers to employment. This will improve the lives, skills and employment prospects of local people.
Peace and Unity Concert 31 May 2017
The group will hold a concert event and a variety of activities aimed at addressing gang violence within the community. This will include providing information and advice on preventing gang involvement, providing schools and community organisations with an anti-gang toolkit and will support children and young people in taking part in the concert.
Something Artistic for Everyone 13 Sep 2017
The group will deliver creative arts workshops for people in the community based around a disability awareness film. This will challenge stereotypes and help break down barriers.
