Bridge to Recovery 03 May 2017
This project supports people living in Liverpool who are struggling with addiction and substance misuse. It aims to give service users the best possible chance of recovery, reduce harmful or criminal behaviour, and develop their life chances. Support is available at each stage of the recovery journey and a safe space will provide service users with the opportunity to improve physical and mental health, learn new skills and find a sense of community.
The group will offer music workshops and performances for young patients at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. They will have the opportunity to join in ward-based workshops and live performances, which will have a positive impact on their wellbeing and recovery, and offer a distraction from illness and a calm atmosphere. People will be able to express themselves creatively, enjoy positive experiences and learn new skills.

The funding will be used to offer young people in the local area the opportunity to access drug awareness and social support sessions. The project aims to support those with drug addictions and engage them in regular activities with the aim of raising awareness of the consequences of drug abuse.
