This funding will allow the group to train the parents and carers of the children attending their group in emergency first aid.
Building Resiliance & Increasing Life Chances 31 May 2017
This group will use the funding for a volunteer development programme engaging with young people from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds, and those marginalised from mainstream society. The project will recruit, train and support vulnerable young people to become volunteer peer educators and mentors. The aim of the project is to support young people to achieve qualitative changes as they develop as volunteers so that they will be able to use in all aspects of their lives.
ALFIA- Strengthening the Core 09 Oct 2017
This group will use the funding for dance / Zumba sessions, holistic therapy sessions and an overnight where members can attend a crafting workshop.
Support for Children and the Deaf 02 May 2017
This grant will be used to fund the Holiday Club and Messy Church events for children and young families within the local community of Motherwell. This grant will also contribute to an induction loop and audio equipment to aid the accessibility of the church hall for the Deaf community, who often use the facilities. Over 50 children will attend the Holiday Club sessions each day and around 100 people attend each of the 5 Messy Church events.
PLAINS SENIOR RESIDENTS CLUB 29 Sep 2017
This funding will allow the group to take their members on various outings and provide some sessional care support for members with mobility issues.
Viewpark Gardens Allotments Association 28 Nov 2017
This group will use the funding to create a number of new allotment beds for members of the community to come and give gardening a try. A kitchen will also be installed and the funding will also allow accessibility improvements to be made to the site and a project worker will be recruited to support the day to day running of the organisation.
Craigneuk & Petersburn: Health, Fitness & Fun 21 Aug 2017
This funding will allow the group to work with young people to help them deliver a programme of activities to children under the age of 12 over the next year.
Assisting Local People out of Poverty 02 May 2017
This group run two food banks, a clothes bank and a friendship café in the Cumbernauld area. This project will help support the group's activities to help address food and welfare poverty in the Cumbernauld area by providing storage, transport costs and other infrastructure costs.
Bellshill Shed Development Project 01 Nov 2017
This group provides a space for men to come together to work on practical woodwork and DIY projects in order to combat loneliness, isolation, and improve their health and wellbeing. This funding will allow them to make improvements to their new premises.
