Positive Futures London 18 Nov 2015
This project, based on a established youth-led volunteering model is expanding as a result of self-referrals and is being delivered in Hackney, Haringey and Tower Hamlets. It will support young people aged 13 to 25 to deliver volunteering and social action projects which they have identified to be of benefit to the local community. The aim of project is that all of the young people who are participating in it will develop key skills and have positive experiences that will shape their personal development.

D-Day Commemoration Service and Parade 25 Jun 2004
The Northenden branch of the Royal British Legion have been awarded a grant to enable them to hold a commemmoration service and parade in celebration of the anniversary of D-Day. Various old comrades groups and associations will be represented. The event will culminate in a concert by the local silver band.
Disabled access 21 May 2004
This branch of Royal British Legion provides social facilities for ex-service men and their guests without their having to join the club. They seek funding for disabled access to the club. Contribution towards disabled access (£5000).
Visit to Buckingham Palace for WW2 Celebrations 24 Jun 2005
The South Manchester Branch of the Royal British Legion have been awarded a grant to enable two of their members to attend the 60th anniversary celebrations in London on 10 July. The veterans have been invited to Buckingham Palace for the VE Day Commemorative Lunch.

The Hythe and Saltwood Branch of the Royal British Legion will use an award to commemorate the 60th anniversary of WW2 by holding a parade and service followed by a buffet lunch.

The Cowgate and Blakelaw branch of the Royal British Legion will use their award to hold a Second World War themed night. The group will also take an educational trip for veterans, senior citizens and army cadets to Eden Camp Second World War museum.

The North Antrim and North Derry Branch of the Royal British Legion will use their award to attend the Diamond Jubilee Air show, which is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the end of World War Two. The group will participate in a parade, there will be an act of remembrance and a flypast of old military aircraft.

The Royal British Legion Minchinhampton Branch have been awarded a grant that will allow them to carry out a 60th anniversary community event, where veterans will be present to talk to children and a display of wartime memorabilia will be present. The group will also host a 1940's style event for the veterans with entertainment from the era. A booklet will also be produced about the local community during the war and the impact of rationing, etc.
