Grant to Banbury Cross Explorer Scout Unit 14 Dec 2018
Funding will be used to support the salary costs of a sales supervisor; the group would like to expand their opening/trading opportunities and have found that by opening on a Saturday this allows for engagement with a wider demographic from across the town. The group estimate that by opening on a Saturday they will have on average an further 30 - 50 visitors who will have access to information about sustainability, resourcefulness and waste reduction (especially plastics)

rebuild hut 05 Aug 2004
The scout building was recently destroyed by fire and the group are now in process of staring to re-build. The award will help towards the re-building costs.
Camping Equipment 13 May 2005
This group aims to develop young people and give them opportunities which they may not otherwise have the chance to be involved in. The project is to provide camping equipment to allow girls and younger members to participate in the group's activities. The award is for tents, water carriers, stoves and climbing equipment.
Volunteer Britain 14 Jul 2005
Community Service Volunteers (CSV) works to reconnect people to their community through volunteering and training and to enrich people?s lives. This project will produce short audio and visual clips on volunteer's experiences, produced by the volunteers themselves. CSV will showcase the clips in order to recognise their efforts and promote volunteering to others, through radio, TV and at local community events. This will be done in conjunction with the 'Year of the Volunteer' campaign.

Centenary Trip to Switzerland 20 Jun 2007
This scout group will use an award to celebrate the centenary year of scouting with a variety of events. The award will include funding for a trip to Switzerland to participate in different activities. This will benefit the attendees by providing an exciting opportunity to participate in events that they would not otherwise be able to do.
Refurbishment of Eccleston Scout HQ 20 Jun 2007
This Scout & Guide group will use the award to refurbish their building, bringing it up to current Health & Safety standards. The building is currently used by a number of other community groups as well as the Scouts, Beavers, Guides and Brownies.

The scout group will use the award to purchase equipment to enable young people to go to outdoor camps and expeditions. The award is for trailer, cooking equipment, orienteering equipment, tents and mess tent.

Craft Resource Centre and Kitchen 11 Aug 2005
This Scout Group will be able to provide a new craft resource centre and kitchen in their meeting place so that more young people can join and take part in the scouting programme. Existing members will be able to develop new skills.
Camps 13 Mar 2006
With help from a Lottery grant Deal, Walmer, Sandwich District Explorer Scouts will buy new camping equipment. The group currently borrows equipment from other groups which restricts the activities it can offer and when. The new equipment will allow the group to organise more camps and expeditions to encourage more young people to learn how to cook outdoors, navigate and work as a team.
